Several years ago I began working with a client who was looking for a one-level town home in a specific community.They had decided that it was time to trade in the 2-story family home for a smaller, more efficient home. It was then that I realized the need and importance for developing services specifically geared toward the senior home owner.

Seniors Real Estate Specialists® are REALTORS® qualified to address the needs of home buyers and sellers age 50+. The SRES® Council awards the SRES® Designation to those members who have successfully completed its education program.

I polled several senior clients and asked what their top 3 priorities were. Their answers were pretty much the same: security, independence and health. Many of the active adult communities offer this and much more including arts, entertainment, exercise and planned activities, to name a few.
